Latest Love: Temple Bells

These rustic plated steel bells are an amazing accessory for any home. Wether used to hang out side your door, from a tree, as table decor or as a home decor accessory, they really give off a rustic and antiqued affect. I absolutely love them and would love to hang multiple sizes from a tree in the spring air.

They are available to buy at VivaTerra ranging in size and starting at as low as $19!

Danish style..

Danish decor became popular at the beginning on the 1940's and has since become one of the most loved looks in the decor world due to its clean and minimalist look. The Scandinavian style often executes clean white rooms with teak woods or rose woods for a smooth finish, paralleled with chrome finishes on appliances and large amounts of light to help bring a natural lit affect to the room. It is one of my favorite styles, mixing earthy woods with contemporary oil glossed finished furnishings.

Botanical Prints!

Now that spring is in the air, plants will be blooming again. A new trend that has appeared recently is the style of framing beautiful botanical plants. It gives an old world affect with natural resources. They really make a space look fresh and vibrant and is so easy to do yourself!

1. Find leaves or flowers that you would like to frame
2. place your found leaves in a heavy book where the pressure will push down on the leaves, if you want you can add more books on top to place more weight on the pants. Leave the plants in the books for three weeks to allow them to dehydrate and dry out.
3. Once the leaves appear dried place them on heavy duty paper, a type of artist paper and cover with Mod Podge which will give a transparent coat and help the plants stick down.
4. Frame your prints and hang them wherever you please.

Subway Tile

1904. New York City introduced white tiles that measured about 1ft x 3inchs. They lined the inner subways of New York Cities metro stationed and also had mosaic signs intertwined into the tiles. They have become labeled as subway tile and can be found now as backsplash's in some of the most beautiful homes. These tiles can be found at any tile store averaging around $6.99/ tile, or $58.00 for a square foot. Not only does these tiles come in clay form, they also come in glass or marble!

Moroccan Wedding blanket

Though many Moroccan Wedding blankets are found in the most luxurious houses nowadays, they date back many years to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Traditionally the blankets were hand sewn weeks before a wedding usually by other female members of her family.

Lambswool is hand spun and loomed while spinning in Baraka (the blessings of God). By instilling these belssings into the fabric throughout the process, it is believed that the blanket will bring talismanic powers and deliver good fortune to the married couple, fertility to the bride, and protect them from the evil eye.

Since being introduced to the western world, these blankets can be fetched for a large amount of money. Though they are traditionally placed on or above a bed, you can find some using them as a rug, or even hung like a tapestry.

Just beautiful...
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day. xxx

After living in New York for many years, Vera Wang has relocated herself and her marvelous closet to the hills of Los Angeles. Harpers Bazaar got the first peak inside of the wedding designers home and delivered pictures of a house anyone could dream of having. Undoubtedly just like Wang's intricately made dress's, her beautiful taste was translated into her home with crisp white furniture, clean white walls, tall floor windows to allow natural light, and elements of black leathers and patent black surfaces- the color she sports on a daily basis. Here is how to get the chic and contemporary style of Vera Wang's LA house in your own home.
